Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital

The Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital is part of New Jersey’s first state-designated Regional Perinatal Center. Level IV NICUs provide the highest level of neonatal care. Our NICU is licensed for 54 bassinets and provides the most comprehensive neonatal care in the state for newborn and infants with medical or surgical problems. The NICU has been honored with a gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). The Beacon Award is a testament to the extensive training, expertise and patient-centered care that are the hallmarks of our nurses at Saint Peter’s.

The Baby Loss Awareness Week Alliance are committed to raising awareness of pregnancy and baby loss, providing support to anyone affected by pregnancy loss and the death of a baby, working with health professionals and services to improve bereavement care, and reducing preventable deaths.
